Cobra RPG Team

WIP on the 2 man RPG team in 1:18. I really couldn't get myself to call it a bazooka... Ground effects were made using my favorite stuff -- Acrylicos Vallejo materials and Woodland Scenic underbrush. I need to get some bigger static grass since the ones I have on hand are meant for small scales. 1:18 is a new scale for me and I need to stock up on stuff. The vignette base also needs some edging tape too. The posing's fine although I do need to paint the rifles. Red is just too cartoony even for Cobra :) posted from Bloggeroid

Tatooine Patrol

Cobra Vipers

1:18 Cobra Vipers from G.I. Joe. One is the regular version with a silver faceplate and the other is the chrome finish faceplate. There are differences in the color apps, with the chrome version having brighter reds and equipped with a silver rifle. I just find it odd that the vipers gave goggles, even though their helmets have full face masks. Doesn't the faceplate serve the same purpose making the goggles redundant? Nevertheless, cool uniforms on these guys. posted from Bloggeroid

Kinder Joy Eggs

Kinder Joy or Kinder Eggs are a chocolate novelty popular in Germany and Austria. Each egg is made up of two halves. One side has two crunchy chocolates submerged in a creamy sauce. The other half contains a surprise toy that could be of popular licenses such as Star Wars or Barbie mini toys or of other types. The tiys are usually in need of assembly and since these are German-designed, usually involve very clever assembly and use. My first two eggs yielded a big dragster with extremely "rolly" wheels and a mirror-image tracing/drawing tool. Neat! I still have a few eggs in the ref for later :) posted from Bloggeroid
