Peeking at Office Playthings: The Cube Toy Safari begins

No, this is not about the hot writer in the cube down the hall. Rather, its a quick peek at the many toys my co-workers proudly display at their workstations. I work in a creative department for a local tv network and a lot -- if not all -- of my co-workers enjoy various doodads. From serious collectors to kids-at-heart, here's the start of a gallery I'm calling the Cube Toy Safari.

First up, art director and painter Reybert Ramos' Rock and Roll toys.

The 6-inch Mcfarlane Elvis '68 Comeback figure was originally released by Mcfarlane Toys in 2004. The first in a series, the set featured Elvis Presley as he was seen in a 1968 television performance that later became known as the Elvis Presley Comeback Special. The toy includes backdrop, chair, mic and guitar accessories.

The legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist is immortalized in plastic for the first time! The NECA Jimmy Page 7" figure is decked out in his iconic "dragon-suit," complete with his double neck guitar, speaker cabinets and amp.  Jimmy Page is captured in all his guitar god glory!

Migrating to Facebook

After a tragedy in the family and a slow return to my hobbies, I've realized that I've been posting more on Facebook. It's easier, faster and the audience response is faster. So, posting here might be spasmodic at best for the time being. Bear with me as I decide what to do with my blogs, thanks!

Custom ARAH Duke

Here's another repainted Duke with some new ammo packs made in putty. This is a custom painted 1993 Battle Corps Battle Commander Duke. One of my early experiments with epoxy putty. I have another version of this figure on the workbench so expect to see it soon here too.
