G.I Joe: Rumble in the Jungle

G.I. Joe,action figure

Here's my G.I. Joe team specializing in jungle operations. From left to right: Grunt, Pathfinder, Recondo and Roadblock. Most of these figures ( well some parts are) are from the Valor versus Venom line with some frankensteining of some body parts. I'm still mulling over the paint scheme they'll be sporting, whether they'll be in modern acupat ( if I can muster enough courage to try painting this) or Vietnam style tiger stripe, like the pattern used by LRRPs. The second camo pattern I'm quite familiar with already since I've painted a couple of LRRPS before but in 1:35 scale previously.

Grunt is a stock figure but I'm planning to gear him up with a chest rig meant for jungle ops. Plus, I'm not too happy with his head sculpt, which does not resemble the other variations of his figure. This version seems a bit pudgy and squat.

Pathfinder, a jungle assault specialist, is the team leader. This figure is a Frankenjoe, with head and torso from the Pathfinder 2001 version, arms from Cross Hair and legs from Roadblock. Jungle stuff will also be added.

Recondo is also a stock figure but he's not wearing his trademark hat. But I like this figure better because the others look like Anzacs:) and this one just looks better, especially without the handlebar moustache. Maybe a change in headgear is in order for another jungle warfare specialist.

Roadblock is actually Gung Ho's body from the VvV line with Roadblock's head from Spytroops.

These guys will soon be rumblin' in the jungle!

BBI Elite Force M1 Abrams

Just a quickie today, still got a ton of work to finish. It's a BBI Elite Force 1:18 M1 Abrams MBT! A coworker decided to streamline his collection and sold me this tank and two humvees. More pics soon when I get a chance to pose them with my G.I. Joes.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Doctor Finkelstein

Doctor Finkelstein is a resident of Halloween Town. He is the mad scientist and the "father" of Sally. He is described as a pale-as-a-sheet mad scientist with a duckbill-like mouth and a hinged skullcap that he can open up to reveal his brain. Doctor Finklestein lives in a large observatory with his living rag doll creation Sally and his hunchbacked assistant Igor. James Whale's Frankenstein is quoted in Finklestein's line "I made you with my own hands" which is ironic as Finklestein's body appears to be largely if not entirely artificial. Unlike Frankenstein who takes no responsibility for his creations and disowns them almost as soon as they are completed (much like the original Dr. Frankenstein), Finklestein takes full responsibility over Sally and acts as an over-protective father and in some ways an overbearing husband (thus explaining Sally's attempts to run away) by keeping her under lock and key under the pretext of shelterin

Batmobile from Batman Beyond

This new flying Batmobile was first introduced in the Batman Beyond episode, "Black Out", when Terry McGinnis had to pursue the shape shifting criminal Inque, and has used it ever since. It can be assumed that Bruce Wayne must have built it some time after he retired as Batman, as when he retired, that sort of technology was probably not present yet to make that sort of Flying car, and its design is more similar to other flying cars of the Beyond era. Its design is a radical departure from the usual style of Batmobiles, as they usually have a bat motif, from a bat faceplate on the grill, to tail fins resembling bat wings. The new Batmobile is a simple sleek pod with sharp angles and rounded sides. Its interior is a red illuminated single person cockpit, with computer circuitry and displays visible all around.  The New Batmobile has shown to have various gadgets and abilities. Among them are     An interface that connects the Batmobile with the Bat
