Jabba's Throne

One of my recent Star Wars purchases was Jabba's Throne playset. I'm planning to make this the centerpiece of my Tattooine collection and I've already purchased some of the aliens seen in Jabba's palace. The playset came in a nicely designed big box together with lots of fasteners and tape. Lots and lots of tape. Be careful while unpacking the items because you might accidentally cut the black string taped behind Oola the Dancing girl's container. That's actually a leash connected to Oola's neck! The stone dais is nicely detailed with sculptured chain rings and nice stone texturing. And it rolls! A pack contains a variety of pillows that can be positioned on the dais. Towards the back of a dais is a stand that carries Jabba's hookah. and a very nicely detailed piece this is! Salacious Crumb, Jabba's jester, is a Kowakian monkey-lizard and comes with articulation. Cool! Oola, the ill-fated Twi'lek danci

HULK HUNGRY!

Snacks and the Incredible Hulk. Enjoy!

Cheap Dino Eggs

I found these during lunchbreak and was curious. Packaged in eggs, the dinosaurs are bootleg copies of Mega Bloks Plasma Dinosaurs. The paint jobs are horrible and the plastic isn't as nice as the originals. The samples I have seem to be suitable scale-wise to 20mm upto 28mm figs and I'll take pictures with figures for comparison. I'll see if these paint up well too. I'll dig up the originals and take comparison pictures. These could be a cheap way to come ujp with herds of these dinos. For the meantime, enjoy! And here are the plastic eggs they came in.

1:18 Firearms

Destro's on sale! Picked up a quarter kilo of cheap plastic rifles suitable for 1:18 scale. the rifles are cast in silver, red, green and yellow plastic. The plastic looks cheap but workable enough that I'm planning to repaint and convert a few for G.I. Joe use. There's a short barrel Colt M16 with fixed stock, an HK MP5 with a fixed stock and a rifle I cant identify. There were 3 other rifles included but they were more sci fi in appearance and I'll post them in a different entry soon.

True Heroes Navy Seal Boat Part 2

More pics of this nifty toy. The toy looks like it was modelled after the PBR (Patrol Boat,River) a small rigid-hulled patrol boat used in the Vietnam War. PBRs frequently became involved in firefights and were used to insert and extract Navy SEAL teams. The toy's loaded with detail and the figures, though really lacking in articulation, are robust and charming enough.
